We are now seeking a professional on-site in-house interpreter/translator with dynamic and high-speed environment.
Responsibility:
- Responsibility for providing simultaneous interpretation support for both external and internal meetings and events.
- Provides documents/communication/announcement translation (E>J, J>E) primarily related to company management and automotive technology as needed
- Special projects assigned as needed
- Most of meetings will take place mainly F2F at UD trucks @Ageo, SAITAMA office
- Work well with team of interpreters/translators and provide interpretation/translation support to all functions in company
- Interpretation (90%): Translation (10%)
Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to be …
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in providing communication support in Japanese/English
- Proficiency in English and Japanese languages
- Understanding of Japanese and other cultures
- Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation skills are must (must have received training in training institutions)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Off-site meeting and business trips in/out of Japan may be required based upon business needs
- Ability to handle confidential information related to automotive technology/company management
- Ability to learn quickly, plan and organize
- Ability to work both individually and with team
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft business applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
<Preferred>
- Experience in the Automobile business, or related industries such as Semiconductor, Electronic part, and Device industry
- Understanding of the company’s products, the competition, and the automobile industry in general
