Main Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior Commodity Buyer, for Vehicle EE PU team, in UD Trucks Purchasing Vehicle, based in China.

Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional team to define and develop segment purchasing strategies.
- Lead cross-functional team to make supplier selection and negotiate agreements.
- Secure overall good supplier relationship through conducting business review meetings regularly.
- Close monitoring of supplier performance and take corrective actions where needed.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, to secure the project deliveries on QDCF for both start-up projects and maintenance projects.
- Drive continuously on cost improvement activities, with good knowledge of UD trucks Production System. Generate cost savings through creativities and cross functional workshops, including engineering, logistics and plant.
- Drive and achieve the target on MCE/cost saving per truck, Delivery Precision, Contract Coverage, Local Content Requirements.
- Support to improve the customer focus by jointly solving the quality issues, improve PPM/QPM and QJ lead time.
- Closely monitor market developments, trends, and the best practices available in the market
Required competencies:
- Lead cross-functional team to define and develop segment purchasing strategies.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and commercial issues.
- Cost analysis skills, be the expert in the assigned commodities on component cost management.
- Make and recommend the best business case
- Good knowledge on total cost ownership, including logistics and overall supply chain.

Required qualifications:
- 6+ years’ experience in Purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience with a supplier/customer relationship in auto Industry, EE part(starter motor, alternator, HVAC ) sourcing and development experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Financial analysis, Cost Management, Production & Supply chain and technology
- Business acumen, MS Office
- Strong team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives
- Fluent both English and Japanese, both written and spoken
