Title:  Director Logistics & Quality, International Manufacturing

Report to: Vice President International Manufacturing

Work Location: Bangna KM. 25

Mission/purpose:

As Director Logistics and Quality, you are responsible for leading and developing logistics and quality assurance principles and tactics within International Manufacturing.

With the support of your team, you are also responsible for managing and developing the KD supply chain and supporting KD plants in establishing efficient end-to-end (E2E) logistics processes. You also support KD plants with the tools, methods and ways of working needed to produce high-quality trucks.

You also play an important role in integrating and developing the competencies of your direct reports, in collaboration with the Quality and Logistics teams at UD Trucks.

The position requires regular travel to ensure consistency in managing and coaching employees at other locations and to maintain a strong network with KD plants.

  Responsibilities:

• Develop logistics and quality principles and tactics for KD at UD Trucks.
• Represent International Manufacturing in the UD S&OP process and governance meetings.
• Represent International Manufacturing in UD Trucks and UDTO Quality Governance meetings.
• Support KD plants on logistics and quality matters.
• Develop and coach KD plant teams in Quality Assurance and Zero Defect methods, and teach and promote the use of problem-solving tools.
• Perform Quality Process Reviews at KD plants to ensure compliance with global quality processes.
• Ensure Product Audit performance and compliance at KD plants in accordance with the Product Audit Manual (PAM).
• Ensure the certification and development of Product Auditors at KD plants.
• Ensure and support KD plant compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate claims (MQR/DQR) reported to KD plants.
• Lead campaign coordination for KD plants.
• Manage logistics projects and initiatives.
• Develop the KD logistics supply chain and implement efficient E2E logistics processes for KD, in cooperation with Production Logistics and Packing Platforms.
• Provide specific internal logistics support to KD plants.
• Work closely with picking/packing platforms to develop packaging solutions for KD markets, in cooperation with Production Logistics and Packing Platforms.
• Ensure that best practices and synergies are developed and implemented together with local KD plants.
• Drive the Logistics and Quality networks between local KD plants and UD Trucks.
• Maintain and develop logistics and quality competencies within International Manufacturing.

   Qualifications:

• Master's or other university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Training in quality management and logistics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience and proficiency in supply chain and quality management.
• Knowledge and expertise in KD operations.
• Broad knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and UD Trucks Production System, solid experience in Quality Assurance and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong people leadership capabilities.
• Business-oriented, with the ability to work cross-functionally and a demonstrated ability to drive change.
• International and multicultural business experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Thai or Japanese language skills are an advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse network.
