Title: YC: Industrial Engineer
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. The candidate will design systems that maximize productivity, reduce wastefulness and production issues, are cost-efficient, and ensure high product quality according to the UD Trucks requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Designing, implementing, maintaining production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
- Understanding, interpreting and implementing designs from technical drawing.
- Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
- Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- To continuously perform process audits to establish whether vehicles are assembled to the set specifications and to implement corrective action.
- Track & Monitor action plans with the supervisor.
- Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
- To ensure that electrical tools/equipment’s conform to occupational health and Safety Act (OHS Act) specifications as well as environmental regulations.
- Support in Commissioning for tools and machinery.
- Supports decision making processes on the best concepts, practices and procedures.
- Developing and improving processes and documenting procedures.
- Support the implementation and sustenance of quality management (ISO9001),
- safety management (ISO45001) and environmental management (ISO14001) systems.
- Compile documents to align with ISO 9001 (Safety Work Instruction, Standard Operational Procedures, Process Checklist, Process Flows, Process Audits and Lay-out, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis).
- Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical developments
- Performing risk assessments with safety team.
- Be able to write daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Implement the other actions given related to Engineering & Maintenance.
Minimum qualifications:
- B.Eng/BSc/BTech/Diploma in Industrial Engineering (Essential)
- Computer Literacy (Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, Engineering software).
- Focus and concentration to understand complex process systems.
- The ability to analyse and interpret data to help with problem-solving.
- A high level of numeracy and technical competency, with an understanding of the applications used within design and production.
- The ability to develop relationships with coworkers is useful when making recommendations.
- Self-motivation to keep up with current industrial advances using new technologies
- Good time-management and organisational skills to make sure design projects and production run to schedule.
- A commitment to keep up to date Using industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics.
- Analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Maintains product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO14001 is a must.
