Title:  Test Support Facility Engineer

Department :  Test Track and Workshop

We are looking for a Workshop Facility Engineer, who can Plan and support Execution of Workshop deliveries in discussion with Workshop Manager and or Operation lead

Support facility in GARC-Client workshop is a pit workshop in Chennai connected with Development Centre in UDTIPL factory Bangalore to performs test iteration and supports the Validation, Verification and Certification on test vehicles which is based on V&V plans.

Test Support Center (TSC) is workshop in Development Centre is part of R&D with test vehicle, facilitated by client Workshop by Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC).  TSC supports the Retro fitment, Test iteration and Update of test objects in cooperation with product build & engineering departments. GARC is one of the state of art test centre established by Ministry of Heavy Industries and PE, Govt. of India where UDTIPL performs test for UD Trucks.

Key responsibilities

•Support Workshop Operation team (Fleet and Project) with actual projection of Test track accounting and bought services etc to complete the TRA (Test Requirement Analysis) process.

•Represent function in Workshop management, this is to secure Management goals to Executer delivers with full QDCF by resource planning and allocation from function.

•Single point contact for GARC Authority front desk, Client workshop Operation, Act as a role model for the site, lead from the front

•Asset owner in the site and Investment Support at site

•Facility co-ordinator (Admin, EHS, etc)

•Raise purchase request for consumable 

Minimum qualifications

- University Graduate/degree with +6 years experience and 2 year of equivalent knowledge to lead workshop

- Test Management and execution 

- Holistic view on the end to end R&D workshop activity

- Good communication skill, fluent in English

- Intermediate level user in Microsoft Excel

- Communicative and good in presentation skill

- Holistic view, proactive and passion towards improvements

- Strong cross-functional team player and respect for individual

- Ability to take own initiative and have a drive forward simultaneously

- Ability to prioritize among several tasks

- Ability to drive changes to improve further

- Ability to solve problem using problem solving methodology

- Strong mindset to support job card or work activity

- Ability to work cross-functionally internal and external
