Title: Sales Engineer
Job Role & Responsibilities
- Provide market-specific product and specification support to the Sales teams, advising on configurations and recommended specifications for both standard and non-standard vehicles. Support the ordering process for non-standard trucks and follow up on CA responses from the TSSC team.
- Support emerging Oceania markets with specifying vehicles, generating quotes and providing general sales engineering support and guidance.
- Recommend configurations based on payload, terrain, climate, regulatory, and vocational requirements.
- Lead product training for the Sales teams, including the preparation of training material and the delivery of regular product updates in line with official product information and Intro Block updates (four times per year).
- Prepare and implement market introductions for new models, regulatory changes, and competitor updates.
- Support importers with truck homologation and Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) processes for new models.
- Monitor upcoming regulatory changes impacting product offering.
- Coordinate and support from a product perspective, the development of marketing materials, including product specification sheets, local leaflets, brochures, and other sales & marketing assets.
- Provide cross-functional and importer support for local adaptations and retrofit solutions.
- Conduct vehicle application and duty cycle market analysis to ensure optimal product portfolio specifications for customer operations.
- Support importers on body builder guidelines to ensure correct integration.
- Work closely with After Sales to ensure product specification supports serviceability, uptime, and lifecycle cost.

Qualification & Experience Requirement
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Preferred working experience in Commercial vehicle OEM manufacturing environment.
Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in product development / product engineer/ application engineer or technical department in the automotive industry.
