The Value Proposition Manager is responsible for defining and optimizing UD Trucks’ market positioning through competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and value-driven sales initiatives.

This role ensures that UD Trucks' offerings align with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives, enhancing profitability and long-term growth. 

Value Proposition & Market Positioning

  • Develop and implement value-driven strategies to enhance UD Trucks’ competitive positioning in international markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, trends, and differentiating factors to refine the company's value proposition.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure the effective communication of UD Trucks’ value proposition to customers.
  • Support product and service development teams by providing market insights to enhance customer value.

Strategic Pricing & Business Insights

  • Work with Product Management to develop and implement strategic product pricing.
  • Establish a system for tracking internal and external comparative price data, including wins and losses due to pricing.
  • Provide segmentation-based price recommendations to support sales and product teams.
  • Conduct pricing elasticity and profitability analysis to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Develop pricing argumentation materials for sales enablement.

Sales & Commercial Support

  • Coordinate proposal development with the sales team and management.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with customer expectations and market trends.
  • Provide project support and analysis for pricing optimization initiatives.
  • Give direction to Price Management Analysts and Data Center support teams to fulfill pricing-related responsibilities.
  • Conduct quality checks on pricing analysis and data across different markets.

Main competence requirements

  • Business-related university degree; MBA or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing value propositions, preferably within the commercial vehicle, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to design compelling value propositions that drive business growth.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product development, and service sales teams to align value propositions with business strategy.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to measure and optimize value propositions based on customer feedback and market data.
  • Proven experience in customer segmentation and tailoring propositions to meet the specific needs of different target groups.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly customer-centric mindset, with the ability to prioritize customer satisfaction while balancing business objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
