Role Description
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Commercial Project Manager to lead and manage the introduction of UD Trucks' new segment in the UAE. This is an exciting new venture for UD Trucks in the region, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth market entry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of commercial retail experience, project management expertise, and a strong understanding of the UAE market. This person will coordinate across multiple departments—network development, competence development, aftersales, sales, marketing, processes and ordering, logistics, and more—to drive a successful launch and ongoing operations for the new segment.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
Lead the end-to-end project management of the new segment introduction ensuring the market entry is well-coordinated and aligned with UD Trucks' strategic goals. - Cross-Department Coordination:
Collaborate closely with key internal teams, including network development, competence development, aftersales, sales, marketing, logistics, and more, to ensure all necessary elements are in place for the product launch and ongoing success. - Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement detailed project plans, timelines, and resources; align the same internally and with importers to ensure the successful introduction of the new segment. Responsible all phases from conceptualization to delivery. - Market Analysis and Insights:
Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, competitor landscape and activities, and market dynamics to shape the product and sales strategies for a specific segment. - Commercial strategy and sales:
- Align with importers on select targeted segments, business plan, pricing, volumes, network development, sales force and total solution offering including body and soft offers.
- Process Development & Optimization:
Work with relevant departments to ensure that processes and procedures (ordering, logistics, aftersales, etc.) are optimized and aligned to the needs of the segment, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and quality. Ensure that the processes are fully understood and aligned with the importers. - Competence and Training Development:
Coordinate with the Competence dev manager to ensure that all teams (sales, service, network, etc.) are adequately trained and equipped with the knowledge and tools to sell and support the vehicles effectively. - Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates internally and key stakeholders on the status of the project, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Ensure that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

- Prior experience in launching new products or services in the UAE, particularly within the automotive or related sectors.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
