THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES 

Electrical & Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) Group plays a key role as solution responsible, within the Vehicle Engineering of the UD Trucks Technology Bangalore site, the local business unit of UD trucks Japan. This team’s scope includes entire Electrical & Electronics Systems, Components and wiring harness  (both Development and Maintenance) for matured and growth markets. Being the product owners, we are responsible to make sure that the right inputs based on current & future product needs are incorporated in the overall EEVC System, prepare the Components & Architecture roadmaps collaboratively working together with our partners and colleagues. Etc. 

ROLE DESCRIPTION                    

Being a function owner you will be  

 

  • Drive overall technical deliveries related to function development for the assigned functions 

 

  • Cross Functionally lead the development work from Feasibility Gate to End Gate. 

  • Drive and take part in definition of product content. 

  • Drive and take part in developing the requirement specifications (incl. E2E functions) to module level. Break down to components, systems and functions. 

  • Participate in the recommendation & selection of development & production suppliers. 

  • Cross-functionally anchor concepts & technical solutions and support the complete vehicle deliveries (e.g. packaging , certification , weight etc.). 

  • Engineering release (B,C, P) and other product documentation. (e.g. FRS, technical description & TR etc.). 

  • Support in project related documentation (e.g. project description , PAP/PDP , risk register). 

  • CAD Modules and prototypes for virtual & physical builds as per defined test objects. 

  • Verified and validated HW & SW components , systems and E2E functions. 

  • Estimating & managing project cost for the sub system including both internal & external development cost. (In cooperation with purchase & Volvo). 

  • Product cost in co-operation with product finance & purchasing. 

  • Project time plans Level 3 covering all activities needed to ensure fully verified & validated components , systems and E2E functions. 

 

 

And, you will also act as, 

  • Pre-study responsible / ETL for projects / quality activities as well as Change Management responsible for responsible areas. 

  • Key contributor towards Electrical Strategy Roadmaps aligning the Concepts & Advanced Engineering activities towards our overall EEVC product road maps and strategies.  

  • Cross-functional interface towards stakeholders l 

  • Interface from the team towards other cross functional teams and external development partners 

WHO ARE YOU? 

As an aspirant towards this role, we expect you to have the following,  
 
Must Have:  

  1. BE / ME / M Tech in Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent 

  1. 6+ years of experience in Electrical / Electronic product development. 

  1. Strong hold in Product Development in the areas of Electrical systems in commercial or passenger car domain 

  1. In-depth knowledge of  Supplier-developed  Electrical system; development & verification from OEM point of view 

  1. Proven supplier/ external partner coordination experience for product development 

  1. In-depth knowledge of Electrical Hardware EMI / EMC, Environmental and other reliability attributes as well as regulations, certification & testing standards   

  1. Knowledge of different Requirement Management Tools, Repository Systems & Configuration Management tools  

  1. Well-versed in Agile way of working (SAFe & related tools, e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.) as well as good understanding of project operations 

  1. Knowledge in overall APQP, Quality Management (QMS), & other Product Quality Assurance tools 

  1. Experienced in working in an environment of global / local organization with cross functional interaction 

  1. Experience in the field of automotive functional safety and Cyber security. 

Additional Good to Have:  

  1. Knowledge of different automotive communication protocols, standards & tools  

  1. Knowledge of tools related to diagnostics & production / aftermarket systems 

  1. Knowledge of global standards related to product development, e.g. ISO26262, ECE R10, etc.
