SUMMARY OF JOB
- Controlling Material/Products/ Parts Transport flows To & From domestic & international Suppliers to UD Plants, SPOL facilities, FVV workshop and Product Transport flows from JV & FVV to Dealers / Customers.
- Receiving, Analysing, Processing and documenting information accurately
- Evaluating Information to determine and ensure compliance standards
- Stakeholder’s closest partner by providing them Built-in-Quality Logistics Solutions
- Perform effective deviation management and Transform into excellence in Risk management
- Handle the invoices both AP and AR
Role (purpose of the Job)
The Transport Controller is responsible for managing and coordination of EXIM / Domestic shipments; with the customers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, ship agents, CHA & customs personnel, Xdock, truckers, and up to receiving of delivery and must provide the client with the best overall service levels, meet & exceed established goals for on-time pick-up and delivery with proactive approach. Handling of incoming invoices from LSPs and outgoing invoices to Inter company (both AP and AR) including deviation managing with LSPs.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Material/Products/Parts:
- Ensure the effectiveness of processes and including delivery, quality, cost, continuous improvement on the responsible areas.
- Managed KPIs achievement with positive and stable trend in the transport Material/ Parts areas within India Scope.
- Secure that best practice processes are implemented and followed.
- Ensure process are in place to monitor business performance and proactively alert business leaders on potential issues.
- Implementation of continuous improvement activities and to deliver cost saving and business process improvements.
- Pro-active work to minimize risk/ risk management in the responsible areas.
Invoices handling:
- Handling and Controlling invoices from LSPs and secure submittion ontime to Accounting department for the payment.
- Verifying the invoices against rate sheet of agreed contract before submission to Team Leader for approval and accounting Department for payment.
- Reconciliation between cost liability vs payment.
- Providing Freight invoice for import customs propose within UDT PL operated countries. (if applicable)
- Handling inter company invoices which to be charged between UDT PL India/ Thailand/ Japan/ China/ South Africa and UDT SPOL Singapore or others.
- Summary of accrual for every month end.
- Summary and Analysis of logistics cost for Transport operations.

Main competence requirements
- Graduate (Full Time) from a recognized Indian University is must. Bachelor of Engineering / MBA will be preferred
- Diploma in Transport Logistics or supply chain is preferred.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in Transport Logistics with ability to handle the invoices.
- Business acumen & Good Import/Export Trade knowledge
- Analytical, dynamic & Proactive
- Excellent written and spoken English & Hindi
- Experience from the automotive sector will be considered an advantage
- Proficient in Interpersonal skills & strong in customer service relationship, good communication skill
- Self-motivated & Goal oriented
- Ability to work in virtual teams / remote management
