JD for Technology Consultant IT – Windchill

The Technology Consultant IT – Windchill is responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of Windchill customization, migration, configuration, and debugging. This role involves hands-on technical execution as well as guiding and mentoring team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and supporting sprint stories and production support from a technical standpoint. The Technical Lead collaborates closely with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders, and may contribute to business process consulting and documentation activities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and execute Windchill customization, configuration, migration, and debugging activities, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and best practices.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to the development/support team, particularly in the implementation of sprint stories and resolution of technical issues.
• Develop, review, and maintain custom code, scripts, and tools for Windchill, including integrations, plugins, and automation utilities. - Oversee and participate in data migration operations, including pre-migration analysis, data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to configuration management and change control processes.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions. - Support system and business administration activities, including roles, access management, and workflow configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windchill environments, including customizations, integrations, and performance bottlenecks. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test cases, and deployment guides.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design workshops, and user demonstrations as needed.
• Stay current with Windchill releases, patches, and emerging technologies relevant to PLM solutions.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in Windchill PDM Link, MPM Link,  exposure to SIM added advantage.
- Experience with Windchill API, Customization and Reporting Frameworks
- Good understanding of Windchill Data Model, Windchill Data Migration, WBM experience
- Experience with Windchill Business and System Administration tasks.
- Experience 6-10+ Yrs with Bachelor of Information technology and related university degree preferred
