Electrical & Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) is part of UD Trucks Technology Bangalore site. EEVC develop and maintain the EE system for products. Here in our office in Bangalore we are product owner for our Quester and Croner products.

This team’s scope includes entire Electrical & Electronics System & Components Development / Maintenance. We also own the technology road maps the overall EE System. We are collaboratively working x-functional within UD trucks and with our external partners.

EEVC consist of 4 group, Systems Engineering, Power Distribution & Components, Embedded SW & HMI and Verification and Integration. We are now looking for Senior System Verification engineer for Verification and Integration group.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Your job is delivering amazing SW solutions for UD products that delight customers. As Senior System Verification Engineer you would be responsible for successful deliveries of all verification activities and deliverables of the team. Need to plan, prioritize and track all the verification activities. You will develop test cases and test plan for specified functionalities (part or complete end to end), perform the verification of the component or each function as specified. You will be responsible for the quality assurance and expected to deliver supporting test results in the form of a detailed test report. You are always looking for ways to improve a product or service to make it better, faster and more user friendly. You will also support and guide System verification engineers in the group.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain software verification deliverables for System of interest.
Analyse SW E2E/Functional Requirements and derive SW test plan.
Develop and maintain SW test descriptions at system level.
Perform SW test execution according to defined SW test plans and prioritizations.
Ability to understand verification plans and requirements.
Follow the process and guidelines of embedded software verification.
Technical communication to stake holders regarding questions of requirements & verification.
Participate in Cross functional and Regular meetings with Product Platforms and Product Owners/System Owners/software developers.
Active Involvement in discussions with, Requirement engineer, SW Development teams etc.
Communication to internal/external stakeholders (PMs, Product Owners, SW leads)
Support with customer issue analysis, reproduction, RCA etc.
Support Lead System Verification Engineer with inputs while evaluating incoming projects in terms of Electrical/Electronic System Verification scope, capacity & budget needs

Required Qualification, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor/master’s degree in electronics and communication Engineering (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech)
8 - 10 years of experience in the Embedded Systems Software Verification area.
Explicit experience of working in HIL & other test systems.
Hands on experience on HIL test rigs like manual testing, rig conversation,rig Maintenace etc.

Deep knowledge of automotive communication protocols like CAN, J1939, UDS 14229 etc.
Deep knowledge on automotive vehicle functions.
Experience in tools like Canoe, CANalyzer similar tools in automotive
Strong knowledge on CAPL scripting.
Strong Knowledge on Vehicle EE Architecture/Topology, ECUs, ECU programming and diagnostics.
Good knowledge on automotive EE functions/features end to end verification.
Good knowledge in ECU software verification, System testing, verification tools and test environments.
Good Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & on Testing Life Cycle.
Strong knowledge on Software / Hardware concepts, ECU pin descriptions etc.
Knowledge on GIT, JIRA, confluence etc.
Basic Knowledge of tools related to software development, diagnostics & production / aftermarket systems.
Excellent spoken and written English.

Additional Important Requirements:

Test engineering certifications (ISTQB Advanced) preferred.
Have a pragmatic and generalist approach to technical solutions.
Good Knowledge of Agile WoW.
Experience working with global teams desirable.
Good knowledge of truck applications.
