Senior Engineer Cab Interiors:
INTRODUCTION: 
Cab Interiors is a part of Cab Engineering team within Vehicle Engineering, responsible for developing Systems and Components. It is primarily responsible for design and development of components such as Interior Trims, Console, IP/DP, Floor Mat, Seating systems, Controls & Storages

​RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design develop & verify CABIN Interior Components for UD Trucks products. 
• Design and Develop components in alignment with the cross functional team during product development phase & later in maintenance related to Cab Interiors. 
• Responsible for maintenance of Cabin Interior area for UD products.  
• Support to create product roadmap for our UD Products along with feature leader.
• Passion to work on innovation within the team and take up intellectual property initiatives in the team and independently
• Create Engineering drawings, technical requirements, product structure and release them to production.  
• Develop Interior Driver, Living area and Seat system within UD Trucks by closely cooperate with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, testing, aftermarket etc. both locally and globally. 
• Support to create Verification & Validation plan for Cabin Driving, Living area and Seat Systems in CAB. 
• Follow up quality status, Quality cases and participate in design reviews; to work on root cause analysis, risk analysis and FMEAs.
• Take part in supplier discussions, initiate and lead method / preparation meetings and be responsible for documentation of these. 
• Utilize existing engineering tools and methods / processes proficiently and to follow general and UD product development processes. Also, when relevant, develop new in-house tools in order to improve the engineering process.
• Maintain an awareness of important technological developments both within and outside the concerned technology areas. Capture and reuse knowledge in specific technical area.  

​REQUIREMENTS:

• Should have minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Product Design & development in automotive Interiors
• Should have excellent Cad skills (CATIA V5 / Creo) for concept creation and Detailed development.
• Solid Hands-on experience in development of Interior plastic parts. 
• Should have knowledge of Plastic Components manufacturing techniques. 
• Should be good in compiling and presenting information verbally and in writing. 
• Should have knowledge of Global standards and requirements for different markets.  
• Innovative and creative mind-set to provide engineering solutions and concepts.
• Should be enthusiastic to learn new technologies related to automotive and Truck systems and implement in relevant projects.
• Knowledge on Pro-active and Re-active Quality Tools will be an advantage.
