Position title: Senior Electrical Packaging Engineer

INTRODUCTION:

The role of  Senior Electrical Packaging Engineer is to secure the installation and packaging of Electrical components and routing  for the truck product range and New Projects and maintenance of the same for issues and improvements as required continuously.
 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

• Defining the routing of the electrical wiring harness and packaging electrical and electronic components within an area of assignment
• Develop / Maintain Design Documentation, including CAD design data and installation requirement documents and Product Structure (BOM)
• Support wire harness component owners with physical design and environmental data relevant to their parts
• Support the geometrical architects in defining and safeguard of the global packaging and installation strategies for the  platform and all included vehicle projects
• Support the cross functional verification of the electrical installation in trucks and test vehicle building and verification
• Participate in the project meetings and Support Estimation of project and product cost , timeplans and highlight status in project to Group Manager and PM.
• Secure the deliveries from the electrical packaging engineers in the team.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• BE or above in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile, with 6 to 8 years of Experience in automotive domain in the area of Electrical Routing and packaging
• Very good experience in CAD, Creo Cabling and other related modules
• Virtual development and simulation
• Complete vehicle and truck application knowledge
• Technical Leader skills, Cross-functional and team work skills, Problem Solving/Decision Making
• Effective communication, Ownership and accountability, Flexibility, adaptability to change

ORGANIZATION:

The Senior Electrical Packaging Engineer will report to the Group Manager-Vehicle Architecture.
