Title:  SENIOR CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE ENGINEER

Job Overview:

UD Trucks part of the ISUZU group is a global leading international commercial vehicle solutions provider headquartered in Japan. 
The position is in the Certification and Compliance group part of Complete Vehicle department which contributes to deliver the right Products & Services to all UD Trucks brand customers according to product segmentation and brand positioning. In Complete Vehicle we are a team of specialized functions with various responsibilities:
Certification and Compliance secure certifications in line with the regulations and maintain stringent compliance for the whole lifecycle of the product; Aftermarket technology developing aftermarket solutions for the brands; Product Builds delivering all trucks and component builds; FVV breaking down features to technical requirements, as well as verifying and validating products and services.
In Complete Vehicle we are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
In this position, you will have an opportunity to perform full vehicle certification of the products / future vehicles in Quester and Croner range. You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders comprising of Engineering, Purchasing, Product Planning, Quality, Sales and Manufacturing and will be responsible to secure certification deliveries in applicable projects.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for all aspects of the certification and CoP for the consequences of actions taken within his/her area of responsibility.
Build/maintain strong network with Technical / certification authorities & secure feedback on different certification areas.
Through close coordination with X-functional teams ensure the precertification & certification tests are performed & certifications are delivered as per target.
Lead /Prepare homologation documents and drive X-functional meetings with project/engineering groups.
Support engineering in addressing certification queries, interpretation & dissemination of the regulations.
Ensure system/vehicle level certification test reports & “E” certificates are in line with the technical specifications.
Compile / maintain records of witness tests results, Test Reports & Approvals.
Work proactively, identify risk, and identify risk mitigation actions.
Periodically monitor certification / CoP status & escalate issues as necessary.

Degree in Mechanical /Electrical / Electronic engineering
Minimum 5years’ of working experience in the field of regulation, certification & compliance.
Good Automotive product knowledge
Good communication & writing skills and affinity to work with many interface partners. 
Profound handling of MS Office & good presentation skills
Strong knowledge of different country regulations such as UNECE, GSO, AIS – IS, ADR etc.
Good Knowledge of different countries certification processes such as ECE, India, SAF, GCC etc
Willingness to travel.

Excellent Liaising skills with authorities
