Job Overview:

UD Trucks part of the ISUZU group is a global leading international commercial vehicle solutions provider headquartered in Japan. 
The position is in the Regulation, Certification and Compliance group part of Complete Vehicle department which contributes to deliver the right Products & Services to all UD Trucks brand customers according to product segmentation and brand positioning. In Complete Vehicle we are a team of specialized functions with various responsibilities:
The Regulation team ensures that the company complies with relevant laws and regulations, in the applicable countries.; Aftermarket technology developing aftermarket solutions for the brands; Product Builds delivering all trucks and component builds; FVV breaking down features to technical requirements, as well as verifying and validating products and services.
In Complete Vehicle we are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
In this position, you will have an opportunity to maintain the regulatory compliance of all products / future vehicles in Quester,  Sigma, Croner range. You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders comprising of Engineering, Purchasing, Product Planning, Quality, Sales and Manufacturing and will be responsible to secure the company complies with relevant laws and regulations, in the applicable countries.

 

Responsibilities:


Regulatory Monitoring and Analysis

  • Continuously monitor national and international automotive regulations.
  • Analyze and consolidate regulatory updates into a forecast matrix and share regularly with relevant stakeholders.

Regulation Interpretation

  • Ensure accurate interpretation of regulations in collaboration with technical experts.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of certification and regulatory clauses; identify and eliminate potential errors or misunderstandings.

Regulatory Compliance Management

  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive regulation checklist.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives and legal requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, authorities etc.) to provide timely regulatory insights.
  • Represent the organization in domestic and international regulatory forums and contribute to long-term strategy development.

Training and Guidance

  • Together with technology experts design and deliver targeted training sessions to enhance organizational awareness and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Education & experience è

  • Degree in Mechanical /Electrical / Electronic engineering
  • Minimum 8+ years’ of experience, Out of which at least 6+ in regulations, Specifically to category - M (Passenger vehicles) & category N (Commercial vehicles)
  • Good Automotive product knowledge
  • Good communication & writing skills and affinity to work with many interface partners. 
  • Profound handling of MS Office & good presentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills: -Strong ability to analyze regulatory requirements, assess their impact  
  • Strong knowledge of different country regulations such as UNECE, GSO, AIS – IS, ADR etc.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent Liaising skills with authorities / stakeholders
  • Self-driven and intuitive
