Responsibilities – Talent Acquisition

  • As per the UD strategy, to acquire and maintain all the necessary talent and competencies for UD’s sustainable growth by managing the recruitment activity and driving continuous process improvements and standardizations to secure talent acquisition related operations.
  • Areas of responsibility include Recruitment for new graduates, mid-career and relevant recruitment activities in close collaboration with HRBPs and business functions. The responsibilities include developing and executing creative sourcing strategies, building talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles to support future hiring needs
  • Through the RPO, maintain daily recruitment operations, administration & communication and Vendor management
  • Will be responsible for end-to-end hiring, onboarding and orientation plan of Graduate Engineering Program/Post Graduate Engineering program.
  • Will be responsible for end-to-end hiring, onboarding and management of Apprentices program for UD Trucks India in compliance with The Apprenticeship Act
  • Will be responsible for end-to-end internship hiring and management
  • This position is required to manage direct interaction with business stakeholders and HR business partners on business needs, role requirements and candidate profiles. Collaboration with various stakeholders in ensuring the business context of the daily delivery is essential.
  • Provide market intelligence and data-driven insights to take informed hiring decisions is key.
  • Promote the organization’s employer value proposition through social media, recruitment campaigns, and external events
  • Represent the company at career fairs, campus hiring events, and industry networking forums.
  • Track and report recruitment KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness).
  • Recommend improvements to hiring processes and tools based on data and candidate feedback.
  • Implement and maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools. Drive continuous improvement in the recruitment process to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Lead, motivate and coach the recruiters deployed from the Recruitment Process Outsourcing company to secure professionalism and engagement to meet the given objectives and expectations.
  • Drive delivery optimization for recruitment activities.
  • Manage budget / resource plan in respected areas.
  • Create strong partnership with university, vocational school & suppliers.
  • Create UD-HR recruitment calendar to show and share the existing multiple task and schedule for more efficient collaboration and project management.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are aligned with internal policies and legal compliance
  • Manage IT tool planning and maintenance for respected area. (e.g. recruitment web site, career portal, linkedin etc)
  • Address necessary change for new initiatives in HR that is planned as in strategic objectives.

 

 

Responsibilities – Talent Development

  • Learning & Development Strategy
    • Design and implement learning and development (L&D) initiatives aligned with business goals. Must be able to deliver train the trainer programs. Also deliver trainings on power or soft skills. Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, performance data, and consultation with managers.
  • Leadership & Career Development
    • Must be able to deliver train the trainer programs. Also be able to delelop contents and deliver trainings on leadership programs
    • Develop and manage leadership development programs, including succession planning and high-potential talent programs.
    • Build career pathing frameworks to support employee growth and retention.
  • Performance Enablement
    • Partner with HRBPs to support performance management cycles, including goal-setting, reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
    • Provide coaching and resources to managers for employee development conversations.
  • Learning Content & Delivery
    • Develop or source engaging content (instructor-led, e-learning, blended) to support a variety of learning needs.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and internal subject matter experts.
  • Measurement & Impact
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent development initiatives using key performance indicators.
    • Report on learning impact and ROI to senior leadership.
  • Organizational Development
    • Drive cultural and behavioural change through values-based development efforts.
    • Support organizational transformation initiatives through change management and communication strategies.
  • Drive Diversity and Inclusion
    • Plan events to promote diversity & inclusion and improve engagement
    • Report on diversity targets locally and globally

 

 

Required knowledge/experience

  • More than 10 years of HR experience, especially in the area of Recruiting and Talent Development (especially Learning and Development)
  • Familiarity with tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Engaging & motivating leadership.
  • Broad knowledge of industry and an ability to keep informed of trends in hiring, learning and development & talent development
  • Strong communication and interpretation skills.
  • Be analytical and have the ability to visualize process performance
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyse a situation and propose solutions.

Reporting

  • You will report to the HR Head UD Trucks India. You will collaborate with the Global CoE (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and UD Academy CoE) globally to drive simplification, efficiency and digitalization for an improved employee experience, also securing the continuous process improvements and standardizations with HR network globally and within India, as necessary.
