Title:  Feature Test Engineer - Durability

1. Roles and Responsibilities

In order to execute the testing, the test engineer shall

• Plan, execute, verification, validation and certification activities. Report progress and highlight deviation.
• Release engineering report on the tests performed.
• Plan and execute CVA based on the organization need.
• Define, report progress and secure commitment on the feature contracts during reviews.
• Provide design inputs during concept selection
• Define, update test methods according to project feature requirements and legal requirements
• Document learnings and constantly update the test methods if needed

2. Education, experience and skills

In order to perform duties as a Feature test engineer, he/she is expected to use the following tools

• Engineering degree in Automotive, Mechanical engineering
• 3+ Years hands on experience in performing Durability Test, Rig test, Highway endurance test, other vehicle / components/ system level test.
• Excellent knowledge of working with measurement equipment.
• Hands-on experience in setting up instruments in measuring acceleration, strain, voltage, etc.
• Excellent knowledge in measured data analysis.
• Extensive knowledge on proving ground methods, customer correlation, etc.
• Heavy Duty Vehicle license and experience in testing heavy vehicles is preferred.
