UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Enterprise Architect (EA) to join UD Trucks Digital Solutions & IT. Your passion is to live and breathe IT architecture, including new technology, to maximize business value from IT. You understand complex data- and IT landscapes and have a solid business understanding of a full value chain company to ensure that we deliver best in class IT solutions for business value. The possibilities for simplification and consolidation across platforms, applications and infrastructure are something that highly motivates you.

You will be working in the Enterprise Architecture team focusing on Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Connected Solutions. With that you will be acting with all layers in the IT landscape all the way from infrastructure, application, data and services. You will be driving UD Trucks into a more modern and consolidated IT landscape as we are intending to modernize large portions of our IT landscape. To a large degree this will be done by adoption and implementation of major COTS and SaaS software and AI platforms out of which UD already have several appointed.

 

Responsibilities

・Develop and implement digital transformation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience

・Drive the adoption of digital tools and platforms across the organization, as well as monitor and analyze digital trends to support strategic decisions.

・Collaborate with data management team to integrate Artificial Intelligence technologies into our landscape by defining the AI landscape and roadmap, considering compliance with ethical standards and data privacy regulations in AI applications.

・Oversee the development of connected vehicle technologies, including telematics and IoT integrations.

・Actively work on enhancing and improving UD Trucks target architecture in collaboration with entire EA Function activity

・Ensure that target architecture within each domain is being followed, for the whole UD Trucks.

・Develop enterprise architectural roadmaps to guide towards a defined future state.

・Create and maintain relevant architectural artifacts (such as application landscapes, service interaction, etc) based on defined strategy and target

・Contribute to and collaborate with the entire IT architect community in UD Trucks, for example by being a leader and mentor, to identify and prioritize digital initiatives.

 

Main competence requirements

・Long experience (+10 years) working with Enterprise Architecture and/or IT Architecture in related fields

・Proven track record in architecture teams handling large projects, digitalization initiatives, telematics technologies and Artificial Intelligence projects

・Experience from working on some of the industry leading COTS/SaaS platforms and tools such as Salesforce, SAP and MS Dynamics 365 with exposure to Artificial Intelligence platforms

・Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS), microservices architecture, AI frameworks and data analytics tools

・Being passionate about innovation and continuous improvement

・Experience in the automotive industry, with full value chain understanding being extra valuable

・Be very used to work in an international context, where experience of working in Japan is further beneficial

・Highly analytical and pragmatic mindset

・Be a team player and good at collaboration with effective communication skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

・Hold relevant certifications in related areas (e.g. TOGAF)
