UD Trucks Operations Ageo is currently recruiting a Production Engineer to work in Vehicle Assembly. Our Vehicle Production Engineering team is responsible for product project operations and is also engaged in the development of advanced production technologies. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Vehicle Assembly Production Engineer who can lead production engineering tasks and make significant contributions. The main responsibilities are as follows:

Evaluate assembly feasibility (workability) of parts with designers and conduct negotiations (Design for Manufacturing).
Perform process design and installation for vehicle assembly, evaluate assemblability in production, and solve problems regarding non-conformities.
Determine the assembly sequence for vehicles and explain/deploy work instructions to the manufacturing department.
Plan, review, and install necessary production equipment, jigs, and tools.
Introduce new technologies and new methods into the production process.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Engineering experience (3 years or more; experience in automotive-related production or development is desirable).
Experience in production process planning/design, production equipment specification planning/introduction, and productivity/profitability analysis.
Experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Motivation to challenge new technologies and new initiatives.
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.

Preferred Skills (Nice to have)

Experience in equipment control or production system-related tasks.
Excellent skills in product quality control.
Knowledge and experience regarding fastening mechanisms.
Experience using 3D-CAD.
