Title: CSR & Communication
Mission/purpose of the job
Drive UD Trucks’ social contribution initiatives while strengthening internal and external engagement by effectively communicating CSR activities.
Enhance employee pride and connection to the company by linking social contribution efforts with UD’s values and culture, with a particular focus on Ageo HQ and local community (Ageo City).
Act as a bridge between society, employees, and the company by making CSR activities visible, meaningful, and participatory.
Scope and influence
Primarily local (Ageo HQ / Ageo City) with internal and external stakeholders; partial global alignment with UD Trucks and Isuzu Group CSR and communication direction.
Key responsibilities / accountabilities
- Define and drive social contribution (CSR) initiatives aligned with company strategy
- Plan, organize, and execute CSR programs (e.g., traffic safety workshops, school visits, international exchange programs)
- Lead end-to-end program management: planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate cross-functional internal stakeholders to build execution structure (staffing, alignment, logistics)
- Develop materials for CSR activities (presentations, scripts, manuals, leaflets, giveaways)
- Lead on-site operations and facilitation during events
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including schools and Ageo City (Board of Education, General Affairs, Crisis Management, etc.)
- Prepare official documents and conduct pre-meetings
- Present plans and report outcomes
- Support collaboration such as disaster response initiatives and partnership agreements
- Collaborate with Ageo HQ Communication Manager to support internal communication operations and align CSR messaging with internal communication strategy
- Plan and deliver communication of CSR activities internally and externally
- Create content for UD Hub, press releases, internal platforms (e.g., Viva Engage)
- Ensure CSR activities are effectively communicated to enhance employee engagement and brand value
- Organize and facilitate CSR internal network and regular meetings to drive cross-functional alignment
- Manage CSR-related budget planning and tracking
- Support and execute ad-hoc CSR-related events and projects(e.g., disaster support vehicle donation, community events, charity contributions)
- Participate in external committees and community engagements(e.g., local school board, industry associations)

- Strong and trusted relationships established with local community (Ageo City, schools, stakeholders)
- CSR activities are effectively communicated and recognized internally and externally

- Cross-functional collaboration is strengthened through CSR initiatives colleagues feel well informed about developments in and around UD Trucks, trust their leaders, are proud to work for UD Trucks, and actively participate in conversations about the company. Make colleagues feel included, heard, and appreciated by supporting leaders to present content in a consistent, professional and easy-to-understand manner.
Main competence requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (any field; studies in communications, social sciences, public relations or related fields are a plus)
- Understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR), community engagement, and social contribution activities
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute programs and events involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English to engage both internal and external stakeholders, including public sector entities and local communities
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders such as employees, local authorities, schools, and community partners
- Comfortable with public speaking and facilitation in front of groups of varying sizes
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and respond flexibly to changing situations
- Proactive mindset with ownership and willingness to take initiative and drive activities forward
- Collaborative, service-oriented attitude with strong teamwork skills
- Business level proficiency in Japanese (advanced) and English (intermediate or above)
