Title: Warranty Segment Leader
Job Overview:
- Accountable for cost of non-quality (CoNQ) reduction activities and supplier warranty recovery (SWR).
- Support to improve the quality of products through warranty material analysis (WMA).
Key Responsibilities :
- Handle and manage normal business with the supplier
- Analyze warranty cases occurring at customer center/dealership network based on the warranty claims and dealer quality report (DQR). Understanding aftermarket, diagnostic and repair methods
- Consolidate components/parts failures modes by organizing and leading Warranty Material Analysis (WMA), requesting and reviewing technical reports from XF members and suppliers
- Define technical ownership and root cause of failure modes considering project documentation (technical requirements, risk analysis, product application agreement etc.)
- When the failure liability is under supplier`s, negotiate financial recovery for claims and campaigns, applying the contractual rules signed on General Purchasing Conditions (GPC) and Warranty Charter (WC). Follow-up warranty and campaign SWR cases
- Secure, in cooperation with UDTP, that suppliers sign off the GPC and WC. Know, apply and recommend improvements to the GPC and WC
- Provide inputs to XF team on components warranty status, failure modes, root causes to support quality improvement and warranty cost reduction
Required Education, Experience and main Competence:
- Hold a university degree, preferably in automotive industry field
- Technical expertise in the truck segment industry preferred
- Need to have a work experience in relevant field 3-5 years
- General interest in technology, knowledge in some areas or market application is a plus
- Basic analysis abilities and system knowledge (eg UCHP, PIL, Qliksense, Power BI), knowledge market tools is a plus
- Basic quality management tools in project (e.g. FMEA, RTS, PAA) and quality root cause analysis tool
- Experience in commercial negotiation
- Legal and contractual understanding and associated impact on business decisions and negotiations
- Team player and ability to lead cross-functional team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Have ability to build trust and to work cross-functionally including supplier
- Have an open multi-cultural mind-set
