タイトル:  System Engineer for Powertrain function

Job Overview:
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.  System Engineer (Powertrain function) ensures that necessary system activities are defined and performed in each project to secure the delivery and maintainability of a consistent and fully functional EE/Powertrain function system.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure that the system development is performed according to defined system development processes and methods.
• Plan and monitor all system activities and deliverables in each project progress, and escalate issues that need support/assistance from line or project management
• Risk management of system activities to continuously work with identifying risks within scope of project by using appropriate tools (risks analysis, FMEA, dependability analysis, etc…) and clearly and proactively communicating risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and proper communication with stakeholders.
• Secure that pre-study/concept reports and project technical reports are written, reviewed and released.
• Drive the specification and its refinement in the system engineering team
• Drive the distribution of technical requirements to the other parts of the organization.
• Secure that the documents are reviewed and released according to defined routines.
• Check if a new EE system baseline is required to be released as a result of the system development in a project.
• Escalate activities that are not being developed according to approved methods or is too risky and will jeopardize the QDCF of a project.

Required Education, Experience and main Competence:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• 3 years’ experience or more in Engine&EATS&Transmission function area or equivalent
• Knowledge in Systems engineering
• Knowledge of the system design processes and tools
• Knowledge in hardware and software architectures
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Japanese and English
