Mission

Lead and deliver business improvements by steering the development of processes, governance, IT systems and tools, in order to accelerate the Purchasing business excellence. Manage mainly local (Japan specific) activities to fulfil Japan law and regulation requirement compliance and lead internal communication for Ageo site and external communication. May act as a Purchasing representative in relevant strategic and cross functional projects.

 

Reporting To: Business Office Japan Director, Purchasing Excellence and Governance, UD Trucks Purchasing

Location: Ageo, Japan

Language: Fluent in English and Japanese, for both writing and speaking

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Be the specialist to give reports to questionnaires from external entities
  • Develop the governance and take countermeasure actions related with Japan specific requirements, i.e. Japan Law and regulation requirements, JAMA and Japan Fair Trading Committee’s requirements etc.
  • Monitor and report business line compliance fulfillment status and drive for improvement with business line head’s support based on need
  • Contribute to relevant CFT project as a business representative from BOJ based on business and compliance needs, e.g. work with Legal and Compliance team, or UDTO etc.
  • Prepare and represent Purchasing for internal and external audits for Ageo site
  • Internal Communication for Ageo site Health & Safety activities
  • Be a contact window as IT frontline contact window for Ageo site, for general governance inquiry and guide them to connect with PE&G internal responsible team members
  • In close cooperation with the other line functions and departments, improve way of working for better effectiveness and efficiency
  • Develop and own related trainings and act as a trainer to perform coaching to the line organization in order to drive for compliance fulfillment and business improvement
  • Ageo Legacy IT systems management
  • Based on the demand, organize /support live or virtual supplier event to deliver key messages to our supply chain partners in a professional way
  • Interact with ISZ PU counterparts for related topics to secure synergy
  • Perform other tasks assigned by managers 

 

Competence & Experience

  • University degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • At least 3+ years work experiences in a global organization and intercultural context
  • Deep understanding of the Purchasing operation with a relevant purchasing line experience
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver project under complex environment
  • Ability to work successfully in a global organization and intercultural context high level of integrity and trust
  • Strong continuous improvements mindset and sense of urgency with customer focus
  • Ability to go from the holistic strategic view and into the details
  • Have strong skills of communication, stakeholder management, project management and data analytics/management
  • Very skilled in IT tools/systems development preferred
